The rest of the house . . . finally!

Lucky for all of us, even though I haven't been posting much, I have been taking pictures still.  SO, eventually everything will still be documented!

I've had these pictures on my camera for a while just waiting to be posted.  Then I moved them to my computer and filled up the camera again.  I thought I should share these before I got too overwhelmed.  :)

The dining room.  I think I took these before church, and the kids might have already been in the van.  It gets pretty crazy around here, and my house rarely looks like this to tell you the truth.
I have a lot of things planned, and still have a lot of decor packed away.  So, most all these spaces aren't quite "polished up" yet.  But they're for sure livable!

Front entry.

Our office.  Dave's area is by the window and mine is on this side.  It's a really great set-up for us.

The downstairs bathroom.

Hm, nevermind.  This is Dave getting ready to go to work.  I think maybe the kids were sleeping in or something!

Fun backyard, huh.  Now all we need is to make it more fun!

Don't ask me why that school chair is out there.  I have no idea.

The laundry room/pantry.

This is upstairs.  The first door is a closet with all our VHS movies, the next door is a bathroom, and there at the end is Claire's room/guest room and Jane and Audrey's room.

Here is the playroom.  :)

I guess I didn't get a picture of the master bedroom or anything else.  Maybe they were messy!

Easter . . .

This is about as far as we got this year.  It was a busy Spring for us!

Audrey's Birthday "Party"

We don't do birthday parties.  BUT we had a play date near her birthday . . . and there may or may not have been cupcakes . . . and the birthday song being sung . . . and other birthday things . . .

Anyway, the kids played with bubbles in the back yard for a while!

This is Katie.  She's one of Audrey's very best friends (besides Jane, of course).  Um, she's making a little bit of a funny face because she got bubbles in her eye.

This is Katie's little brother, Calvin.  He's sooo shy, but so darn cute.  He tags along with the girls on our play dates.  My girls have tried using him as a surrogate little brother . . . aka, the scapegoat.  If something gets broken or ruined at our house, they say "Calvin did it!" (always when he isn't even at our house any more).  At first, since he usually had just been over to our house, I would assume that he did it (say, broke the door off the dollhouse) when he was here.  BUT then I realized that they were using it for things like writing Audrey's name on the couch and making an extra large mess around Jane's cereal bowl in the morning.  I'm certain now that he has done nothing.  But I suppose it's nice to know that our families are close enough to be considered family so authentically!

Happy Birthday, Audrey!

I absolutely can not believe that she is now 5.

This time we tried the yellow cake with vanilla frosting (dyed blue at Audrey's request).  Also awesomely good.  She chose cupcakes which seemed to be a lot more fun than the cake.  I didn't get a picture of her on or with her new bike because she won't hardly go near it.  :S  Might have to work on that this summer.

Claire Survived One Whole Year in the Hunt House!

Remember all my usual gross, ugly birthday cakes?  Well, although this one didn't look like much,  it tasted SO GOOD!  Here's the link to the recipe and tips I followed to the T.  I used the chocolate cake recipe with chocolate sour cream frosting.  Lots of thumbs up.

Happy Birthday, baby!
